Connect ChatGPT or Claude to your store

Ask your store questions in plain language — products, orders, customers — directly from a conversation. Your assistant reads only the information your Boldy account gives it access to, and nothing else.

Guide updated on September 15, 2026

Before you start

No API key to look for or buy: you use your usual Boldy login. For the first connection, follow this guide on a computer, in your browser, and keep your Boldy dashboard open in another tab.

Read-only. This connector is for browsing. It cannot change your products, orders, stock, or customer data. Your assistant only sees what your Boldy account already lets you see. The module must be available and enabled for your store.

Where to find the connection address

In Boldy, open your store, then Modules & integrations → Connect my AI assistant. Copy the address shown on that page: it's unique to your store.

This address is pasted into your assistant's connection form, never into a chat message. Keep it exactly as shown, without adding anything at the end. For security reasons, it isn't published here: it only appears in your merchant dashboard.

Which assistant are you using?

ChatGPT guide

  1. Copy your store's address.

From the Connect my AI assistant page of your store in Boldy, copy the address shown.

  2. Open ChatGPT.

Open ChatGPT in another tab and sign in to the account you want to use.

  3. Make adding connectors available.

In ChatGPT's settings, open Security and login, then enable Developer mode. This is a ChatGPT setting name: no coding is needed to follow this guide.

If the option is missing, see "I can't find the button mentioned" below. This setting is described in the OpenAI documentation.

  4. Add your store.

Open the Plugins section, then click + to add the connection. Name it Boldy — your store's name. If a description is requested, enter "View my Boldy store's data."

  5. Paste the address.

Under Connection, choose a web-address connection and paste the full Boldy address into the server field. Don't add anything at the end.

If an authentication option is shown, choose OAuth: that's the option that opens your Boldy login. No client ID or client secret is required. Confirm the addition. The form may use the term "MCP server" for this address. Adding by URL is documented by OpenAI.

  6. Authorize read access in Boldy.

When the Boldy window opens, sign in with your usual account if needed. Check that the store shown is indeed yours, then click Authorize read access. This authorization gives ChatGPT the information it reads to answer your questions.

  7. Select Boldy in your conversation.

Go back to ChatGPT and open a new conversation. In the + menu, open Developer mode and select the connection "Boldy — your store's name." You can then send the sample question below. Using a connector in a conversation is described in the OpenAI documentation.

Using Claude?

Claude guide

  1. Copy your store's address.

From the Connect my AI assistant page of your store in Boldy, copy the address shown.

  2. Open your connectors in Claude.

Open Claude in another tab. Once signed in, go to Customize → Connectors.

  3. Add the connection.

Click +, then Add custom connector. Name it Boldy — your store's name, paste the store address, and click Add.

Leave the advanced settings empty: no client ID or secret is needed for Boldy. The form is described in the Claude help center.

  4. Authorize Boldy.

On the connector's card, click Connect if this step is offered. In the Boldy window, use your usual account, check that the store shown is indeed yours, then click Authorize read access. The information read will be shared with Claude.

  5. Use it in a conversation.

Go back to Claude. In a new conversation, open + → Connectors and enable the "Boldy — your store's name" connection. Then send the sample question below. Enabling it per conversation is explained in the Claude help center.

Using Claude with your company?

On a Team or Enterprise workspace, the workspace owner must first add the connector under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Share with them the address shown on your store's connection page. Once the connector is available in your list, connect it with your own Boldy account. See the procedure for enterprise workspaces.

Using ChatGPT?

Your first question

Copy this message into your assistant:

Use the BOLDY connector and tell me the name of the store you have access to.

Check that the answer actually matches your store and that the assistant really read from Boldy. An answer that simply repeats the name you typed doesn't confirm the connection.

Depending on the data available, you can then ask:

  • "Which products sold the best last month?"
  • "Which orders are still awaiting shipment?"
  • "Which regular customers haven't ordered in three months?"

For an accurate answer, specify a time period and ask the assistant to state the data it used and any limitations.

Still stuck? Open the Connect my AI assistant page of your store to check the connection status, or ask your store's administrator to check it with you.
